Junior Linux Administrator
Wazdan Services Limited is seeking a Junior Linux Administrator to advance their skills in Linux system administration.
This role involves supporting the design and documentation of systems, implementing new solutions under supervision, and working on tools and simple automations.
Key responsibilities include handling calls, providing first-line support, and collaborating with experienced administrators on various IT tasks.
- Support in the administration of Linux servers and network devices under the guidance of experienced administrators.
- Participation in the use of monitoring and statistics tools.
- Gradual introduction to database administration: replication configuration, backup (backups/dumps) and other database maintenance tasks.
- Implementing and managing systems using Ansible.
- Collaborate in the maintenance of system/network security (HIDS, VPN IPSec/SSL).
- Gaining experience in virtualisation, cloud and containerisation solutions.
- Co-creation of proxy environments and high-availability services (service clusters).
- Implementation of CI/CD solutions and integration with CDN.
- Supporting various IT departments in solving ongoing problems.
- Learning to optimise performance, security and service quality according to the needs of the organisation.
- Basic Linux system administration experience (1-2 years of internship or project/private experience welcome) (required)
- Basic knowledge of ICT security and want to enhance it further (required)
- Committed, eager to learn and open to new technologies (required)
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills (required)
