Finance Transformation Programme Lead - 9m FTC

Description

The Transformation Programme Lead is a senior, hands-on delivery leader responsible for shaping and delivering complex transformation programmes across corporate finance. The role has particular expertise in treasury, procurement, shared service centres, and reporting and control, ensuring that operating model, process, technology, data, controls, and people changes are delivered as one coherent programme.

Working within the finance function, reporting to the Finance Operations and Transformation Director, the role translates strategic ambitions into practical delivery plans, mobilises cross-functional teams, manages risk and dependencies, and maintains focus on measurable outcomes. The role operates across business, functional, and geographic boundaries and provides clear, evidence-based advice to executive sponsors and governance forums.

Responsibilities
  • Leading complex, multi-workstream corporate finance transformation programmes from mobilisation through implementation, transition, and benefits realisation.
  • Partnering with executive sponsors and Finance leadership to define the transformation vision, scope, target outcomes, delivery roadmap, investment case, and measures of success.
  • Shaping and coordinating transformation across treasury, procurement, shared service centres, FP&A, reporting and control, ensuring dependencies and impacts are managed end to end.
  • Translating the target operating model into executable workstreams covering process simplification, service delivery, technology, data, controls, capability, and change adoption.
  • Providing programme leadership for treasury change, including cash and liquidity management, banking, payments, treasury technology, risk management, and associated controls.
  • Leading procurement transformation initiatives across source-to-pay, supplier and category management, procurement operating models, enabling technology, compliance, and value delivery.
  • Directing shared service centre transformation, including service scope, location and sourcing choices, transition planning, retained organisation design, service management, and performance improvement.
  • Driving reporting and controlling transformation across record-to-report, closing and consolidation, management and statutory reporting, master data, controls, and finance insight.
  • Establishing integrated programme plans, governance, decision rights, milestones, dependencies, resources, budgets, issues, assumptions, and change controls.
Requirements
  • Significant experience leading large-scale, cross-functional finance transformation programmes across complex, international organisations, with proven delivery across treasury, procurement, shared services, reporting, and control environments (required).
  • Expertise in finance target operating models, end-to-end process design, governance, controls, service delivery models, and technology-enabled change, including shared service/global business services design, migration, stabilisation, and continuous improvement (required).
  • Proven programme leadership capability across ERP, finance platforms, procurement, treasury, reporting, automation, and data transformation initiatives, with strengths in governance, planning, dependency and risk management, budgeting, business cases, and benefits realisation (required).
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior finance leaders, executives, governance forums, and multidisciplinary teams in matrix environments while balancing pace, value, control, and business continuity (required).
  • Relevant programme, finance, procurement, treasury, or change qualifications are advantageous (nice-to-have).
Benefits
  • Industry-leading maternity and paternity leave and paid time off if you have caring responsibilities.
  • Discounts at a range of high-street retailers.
  • Financial compensation, pension, and bonus schemes.
  • Tools and services to help support your well-being, including support with mental health and financial education. You will also have access to gym discounts and our cycle to work scheme.
  • Hybrid working: employees can work from home up to 3 days with 2 days office time built in.
