QA Engineer

Description

Betby is looking for a Manual QA Engineer to join the team. The role focuses on ensuring the quality of both back-end and front-end systems within a microservices architecture.

The successful candidate will work closely with backend developers and product teams to validate service interactions and maintain high standards of data consistency. The position involves managing the full testing lifecycle, from planning and documentation to execution and issue investigation.

Responsibilities
  • Perform manual back-end and front-end testing.
  • Validate interactions between services and ensure data consistency across systems.
  • Test APIs and integrations, including REST, GraphQL, and WebSockets.
  • Analyze logs and investigate issues using tools such as Kibana and Grafana.
  • Create and maintain test documentation: test cases, checklists, bug reports.
  • Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and QA-related discussions.
  • Collaborate closely with backend developers and product teams.
  • Identify edge cases, gaps in requirements, and potential risks.
  • Independently manage and prioritise testing tasks.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1.5+ years in back-end and front-end testing (required).
  • Understanding of microservices architecture (required).
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum teams (required).
  • Experience in writing test documentation (test cases, checklists, bug reports) (required).
  • Proficiency in functional, non-functional, and regression testing; test design techniques (required).
  • Test management system (e.g., Jira, TestRail) and API testing (e.g., Postman) tools (required).
  • Experience in REST API, GraphQL and websocket (required).
  • Kafka and SQL/MongoDB fundamentals for data validation (required).
  • Kibana for system log analysis (required).
  • Good written and verbal English communication (required).
  • Basic knowledge of any programming language (java, python, etc.) (nice-to-have).
  • Basic knowledge of betting (nice-to-have).
  • Basic knowledge of Git and Github (nice-to-have).
