Product Manager (Payments Infrastructure)
FlintN is looking for a Product Manager (Payments Infrastructure) to join the team, which is building and scaling an all-in-one payment platform for online businesses. This role focuses on product development, testing, and integrations aimed at building a global payment platform.
The Product Manager will own product end-to-end. This involves talking to live merchants and other stakeholders, turning insights into features that convert clients and grow revenue, prioritising the backlog against commercial impact, and running the delivery cycle with the engineering team.
- Discovery with live merchants - separating what they ask for from the problem behind it.
- Discovery with CEO to get a grasp of what the product and company goals.
- A prioritised backlog justified by conversion and revenue impact.
- Backlog and features creation, task descriptions with clear Feature specs so engineers can start work with minimal grooming: problem statement, thin vertical slices, acceptance criteria, success metric, etc.
- The delivery cycle: sprint planning, grooming, and the throughput of the team.
- Product ownership. Has owned a product area end-to-end: decided what to build and why, not just when. Can name a feature they killed or reframed on their own judgment (required).
- Commercial / revenue thinking. Frames features in revenue, conversion or retention terms. Can do unit-economics math out loud (e.g. 1% auth-rate lift x volume x take-rate) (required).
- Discovery skill. Runs structured client interviews, separates stated asks from underlying problems, asks about past behaviour, not hypotheticals (required).
- Technical / API fluency. Comfortable with REST APIs, webhooks, idempotency, retries, sandbox/test flows. Can read an API spec and challenge engineers credibly (nice-to-have).
- Delivery methodology. Runs sprint planning, grooming, standups AND can explain the PURPOSE of each. Diagnoses delivery problems as systems, not ceremonies (required).
- Payments domain. If absent, must show structured reasoning under domain uncertainty and ask good questions instead of bluffing (nice-to-have).
- Scale-up orientation. Has improved a LIVE product with real users. This is a 'grow what's live' mandate, not 0-to-1 (required).
- Stakeholder maturity. Disagree-and-commit: argues once with evidence, commits if overruled, revisits with outcome data. Critical in a founder-led company (required).
- Has set a roadmap independently before (nice-to-have).
- Has carried a revenue or conversion target (nice-to-have).
- Continuous-discovery habits (opportunity-solution trees, weekly touchpoints) (nice-to-have).
- Hands-on with payments constructs: auth/capture, 3DS, tokenisation, PCI scope (nice-to-have).
- CSPO/PSPO certification (nice-to-have).
- Real payments/PSP/orchestration/subscription-billing experience (nice-to-have).
- Has worked directly with a founder/CEO before (nice-to-have).
- A chance to work on an early-stage payment product.
- Opportunity to make architectural decisions, work with AI and high-level engineering, enjoy technical freedom, and directly influence the product’s development vector.
- The startup drive - backed by the stability and support of a holding company.
- From idea to action - minimal steps. Any proposal can turn into real changes in the product or processes.
- Your office is wherever it’s convenient for you: home, our Kyiv office, coworking spaces in Lviv or Warsaw, or anywhere else with a stable Wi-Fi connection.
- Flexible working hours. Plan your day for maximum efficiency: start between 8:00 and 11:00 and finish between 17:00 and 20:00, considering team collaboration hours.
- Continuous growth is a must. Courses, conferences, and an internal library - we invest in your development because the team’s speed and performance directly depend on the expertise of its people.
- Health care and wellbeing: medical insurance, a Mental Health program, and compensation for sessions with a psychologist.
- Time to recharge: 28 paid days off per year, sick leave, and all public holidays fully covered.
- Gifts for special occasions.
- Social Impact. The Ukrainian Victory Support program and other charitable initiatives supporting Ukraine.
- An active corporate life: quarterly team buildings, workshops, and other holding-level events.
