Senior Procurement Specialist
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for organising the company’s procurement activities, ensuring that all goods and services meet organisational requirements and are acquired at competitive prices.
This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and analysing market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities. The specialist also provides guidance to junior team members and supports the department head in maintaining operational continuity.
- Conduct market research to identify suppliers and evaluate their proposals.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery aligned with company needs.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delays, quality, or non-compliance.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure favourable conditions for the company.
- Oversee contract execution and implement necessary amendments as required.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities for the company.
- Support budgeting and procurement forecasting by assessing market developments and company needs.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to understand their procurement requirements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement strategies, policies and processes improvement.
- Substitute for the Head of Department during his absence, ensuring continuity of operations, and represent the department in both internal organisational and supplier meetings.
- Provide guidance and support to junior specialists within the department, sharing professional expertise and assisting in resolving workflow tasks.
- Perform other duties assigned by the direct supervisor and related to the role’s responsibilities.
- A Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics or equivalent (required)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement (required)
- Fluency in Armenian and English (required)
- Proficiency in MS Office and Jira is required for efficient procurement operations and tracking (required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (required)
