Description

As the Head of Brand Insight, you’ll be a key part of the UK&I Consumer & Market Insight (CMI) leadership team, reporting into the Consumer & Market Insight Director and working alongside the Head of Consumer Insight and Head of Market & Competitor Insight. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving UK&I’s success by leveraging research, data, and analytics to gain deep insight on brand strategies, performance, and trends, using your thought leadership, influencing, and storytelling skills to drive action that improves brand health, customer acquisition, and retention. You’ll be working closely with and influencing some of the most senior stakeholders at Entain, synthesising actionable insight from multiple sources and making consumer-centric and commercially sustainable recommendations that give us a competitive advantage. You’ll set high performance standards for your team, ensuring we are always improving how we work and what we deliver.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the evolution and execution of the Brand Insight strategy aligned with macro business goals, synthesising actionable insight from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with and influence cross-functional leadership teams to identify key business questions, objectives, and measurement, including but not limited to Brand Marketing, Performance Marketing, CRM, Social Media, Sponsorship, Creative, CX, Data Science, and our third-party media agency.
  • Constructively challenge the existing brand portfolio strategy and individual brand strategies with sharp critical thinking backed by robust evidence.
  • Regularly and proactively assess brand positioning, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead and conduct qual and quant research and analysis using self-serve research platforms and tools.
  • Lead third-party research agency relationships, ensuring research is conducted in an accurate, timely, and cost-effective manner.
  • Use advanced analytics techniques and tools to analyse large datasets and derive actionable insights, coaching direct reports and the wider Consumer & Market Insight (CMI) team on best practice.
  • Lead the evolution and socialisation of reporting, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership and key decision-makers.
  • Lead and own brand tracking across all brands, product verticals (Sportsbook and Gaming) and channels (Digital and Retail) in partnership with our third-party brand tracking agency.
  • Use brand tracking insight to proactively influence Marketing, Commercial and Product strategies to improve brand awareness, consideration, and usage.
  • Lead and own campaign and sponsorship measurement to understand how we are performing relative to competitors, providing proactive recommendations for improvement.
  • Use marketing effectiveness analysis to enhance Marketing ROI, in partnership with our third-party media agency.
  • Lead creative testing of major ATL campaigns across all brands, product verticals (Sportsbook and Gaming), and channels (Digital and Retail).
  • Use creative testing analysis to enhance Marketing ROI and brand awareness, consideration, and usage.
  • Lead a high-performing Brand Insight team, providing guidance, coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities whilst embracing change.
  • Foster a consumer-centric and insight-driven culture at all seniority levels within the organization.
  • Evolve and improve standard operating procedures and train team members to maintain the highest standards of performance and quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. (required)
  • Master's degree. (preferred)
  • Proven leadership experience in a client-side Insight function at a multinational FTSE (or equivalent) organisation with multichannel revenue streams. (required)
  • Expert knowledge of brand tracking, marketing effectiveness, creative testing, and market research methodologies and tools. (required)
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in research and data analysis techniques and tools, including but not limited to Excel, Power BI, and related programming languages (SQL, Python, R, etc.). (required)
  • Excellent storytelling, data visualisation, and PowerPoint skills with the ability to create succinct and impactful narratives that drive action. (required)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and convey complex insights in a clear and audience-appropriate manner. (required)
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data protection and privacy. (required)
  • Experience managing third-party research agencies. (required)
  • Proven experience in a similar role in the gambling industry, either client or agency-side. (desired)
