Software Development Engineer III
As a Software Development Engineer III, the successful candidate will design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable web applications with a focus on frontend engineering using the latest Angular framework. Reporting to the Tech Lead, the role involves being an important contributor in building modern, responsive, and performant web applications while also contributing to backend services developed in Java, Spring Boot, or Node.js.
The position requires active participation in system design discussions and technical solutioning. The engineer will be responsible for writing clean, maintainable, testable, and scalable code while ensuring quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers and promoting engineering best practices within an Agile delivery model.
- Design complex frontend features using the latest Angular version, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, CSS3, and modern UI patterns.
- Build responsive, accessible, and user interfaces.
- Develop reusable components, shared libraries, and frontend architecture standards.
- Consume and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Contribute to backend development using Java, Spring Boot, or Node.js.
- Participate in system design discussions and technical solutioning.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable, and scalable code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Ensure quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with teams in Agile delivery models.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
- Participate in production support and on-call rotations.
- Improve continuous improvements in engineering processes, performance, and developer experience.
- 6+ years of software development experience with full-stack exposure (required).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Angular (Angular 15+/16+/17+/18+ preferred) (preferred).
- Expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript ES6, RxJS, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web development (required).
- Experience with Angular architecture, dependency injection, state management, routing, forms, and performance optimisation (required).
- Experience building reusable UI component libraries and design systems (required).
- Experience with REST APIs and frontend-backend integration (required).
- Experience in backend development using either Java, Spring Boot, Microservices OR Node.js, Express/NestJS (required).
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (required).
- Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (required).
- Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing (required).
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native application development (required).
