Product Manager

Description

FanDuel is looking for a Product Manager to help build the social layer of its sportsbook experience. This role sits within the Emerging Experiences pillar and is focused on creating the connections, communities, and shared moments that make sports betting more engaging, ranging from social profiles and activity feeds to group experiences and social betting features.

The role operates within small, autonomous pods, each consisting of a focused team of engineers and AI agents oriented around a specific customer problem. The Product Manager will work across multiple pods, driving initiative-level execution and keeping delivery on track across priority streams. They will operate within a broader social area led by a Lead Product Manager who sets the overall vision and strategy, with the responsibility of translating that direction into well-scoped, well-executed quarterly outcomes.

This position is designed for an individual who operates independently, is comfortable making decisions with imperfect information, and is ready to grow into broader strategic ownership. The role is ideal for someone who has shipped social features in consumer applications, can move quickly with AI tools, and wants to work on a product with significant network-effect potential.

Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple pods, which are small, focused teams of engineers and AI agents, each oriented around a specific social customer problem.
  • Set clear direction for each pod by defining the problem, owning prioritisation, and making the calls needed to keep teams moving.
  • Work hands-on with engineers and designers daily by writing clear specifications, removing blockers, and driving decisions without escalating unnecessarily.
  • Identify user problems and opportunities within the area through research, data analysis, and competitive review.
  • Define success criteria for each pod's work and track and report objectively on outcomes post-launch.
  • Use A/B experimentation to validate hypotheses and drive continuous improvement across pods.
  • Leverage AI tooling and agents effectively as part of pod operations, including directing AI-assisted workflows alongside human engineers.
  • Contribute to broader social area roadmap discussions with well-reasoned proposals grounded in user insight and commercial impact.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of how social experiences work across consumer apps and bring that context into pod decisions.
  • Collaborate across engineering, design, analytics, GTM, and operational functions to ensure smooth releases and post-launch optimisations.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders on pod progress, blockers, and learnings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a product manager or similar role (required)
  • Demonstrated experience building social features in consumer-facing apps, such as social graphs, feeds, profiles, or community interactions (required)
  • Proven ability to operate independently on initiative execution, including scoping, planning, and delivering across multiple priority streams within a quarter (required)
  • Solid experimentation fundamentals, including the ability to design tests, reason about metrics, and connect product decisions to commercial outcomes (required)
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, AI-native environment, including familiarity with AI tooling and directing AI-assisted workflows (required)
  • Strong operator mentality, being decisive, unblocking, and effective at keeping multiple pods moving in parallel (required)
  • Proven track record of shipping products that users love, with measurable outcomes (required)
  • Knowledge and implementation experience of modern product practices and experimentation strategies (required)
  • Strong quantitative skills and comfort with data (required)
  • Excellent critical thinker and collaborator (required)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (required)
Benefits
  • Array of health plans including programs for fertility and family planning, mental health support, and fitness benefits.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and sick leave.
  • Annual bonus and long-term incentive opportunities based on performance.
  • 401k with up to a 5% match.
  • Commuter benefits.
  • Pet insurance.
  • 14 paid company holidays.
  • Short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and stock program participation.
