IT Support Spec I
The Specialist IT Support I is responsible for providing first-line IT support to internal employees, ensuring the successful deployment, maintenance, and support of end-user devices and IT services.
This role supports workstation lifecycle management, onboarding and offboarding activities, IT asset management, security compliance, and day-to-day technical support while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless employee experience.
- Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and workstation-related issues.
- Image, configure, deploy, and track employee workstations across the organisation.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding by coordinating IT equipment and system access.
- Manage IT assets, inventory, and workstation locations, including office relocations.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and audit requirements, including SOX, PCI, and SOC2 controls.
- Create and maintain IT documentation and contribute to the department knowledge base.
- Support conference room technology and provide emergency assistance when required.
- Escalate and report recurring or complex technical issues.
- Coordinate warranty support with vendors and third-party providers.
- Assist with inventory procurement and IT infrastructure projects.
- Provide IT support for company and customer-facing events.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma (required).
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred).
- 0–2 years of experience in an IT support or Help Desk role (required).
- Experience supporting both on-site and remote users (required).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (required).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users (required).
- Customer-focused approach with strong phone support and service skills (required).
- Basic troubleshooting experience with Microsoft Office applications and other software (required).
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and general computer hardware (required).
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and technical processes (required).
- Estimated starting compensation range of $54,000 – $61,000 annually USD.
