Senior Concept Artist
IGT is seeking a talented Senior Concept Artist to join the Two Rivers studio in Belgrade. The role focuses on designing and developing the visual direction for new casino game titles, ensuring that all artistic assets are both visually compelling and production-ready.
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative environment, iterating on visual ideas with producers, game designers, and the broader art team. The position requires a balance of creative exploration and technical execution to maintain high artistic standards across various game elements.
- Work closely with Producers, Game Designers, and the Art Team to define and develop the visual direction for new game concepts.
- Create high-quality concept art for characters, environments, props, symbols, UI elements, and other visual assets for new game titles.
- Explore multiple visual directions through sketches, thumbnails, mood boards, and visual research.
- Produce polished concept illustrations that serve as visual guides for production artists throughout the development process.
- Design concepts with animation, gameplay, and technical implementation in mind, ensuring assets are both visually compelling and production ready.
- Collaborate with artists, designers, developers, and product managers to iterate visual ideas, incorporate feedback, and ensure designs align with artistic, technical, and production requirements.
- Propose creative and practical solutions for game assets while working within established artistic, technical, and production guidelines.
- Help maintain a consistent visual style and high artistic quality across all game assets.
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects) (required)
- Strong concept art portfolio demonstrates visual development, ideation, and creative problem-solving skills (required)
- Excellent drawing, composition, color, lighting, anatomy, perspective, and visual storytelling skills (required)
- Strong understanding of game art production pipelines and technical constraints (required)
- Ability to work independently while taking ownership of visual solutions (required)
- Passion for game development (required)
- Good understanding of 2D animation principles and the ability to create or effectively communicate animation concepts (nice-to-have)
- Experience in game development (nice-to-have)
- Experience working with Unity or other game engines (nice-to-have)
- Knowledge of Blender, Maya, or other 3D software to support concept development (nice-to-have)
- Experience creating storyboards, motion studies, or simple 2D animations (nice-to-have)
- Experience working across multiple visual styles (nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted creative workflows and their application in concept development (nice-to-have)
