Content Writer UK
North Star Network is looking for a Content Writer to create engaging, accurate, and SEO-optimised content for the UK market across sports betting and online casino websites. This role requires hands-on experience, as the successful candidate will be expected to create accounts with UK bookmakers and online casinos, test their desktop and mobile experiences, and produce accurate, first-hand reviews based on their findings.
Working closely with Content Managers, Editors, and SEO Specialists, the Content Writer will produce content that ranks well in search engines while providing genuine value to readers and supporting commercial objectives. This position is ideal for an individual with a passion for sports, betting, casino, and digital content, combined with a strong understanding of the UK market.
- Write high-quality, original articles covering sports betting, online casinos, bookmakers, casino games, bonuses, and gambling-related topics.
- Produce content based on detailed editorial briefs while following SEO best practices.
- Adapt writing style to suit UK audiences and different company brands.
- Conduct thorough research to ensure factual accuracy and up-to-date information.
- Apply SEO principles, including keyword optimisation, internal linking, metadata, and content structure.
- Update and optimise existing content to maintain relevance and improve search performance.
- Collaborate with Content Managers, Editors, and SEO Specialists to continuously improve content quality.
- Ensure all content complies with editorial standards and UK gambling regulations.
- Proofread and fact-check all content before submission.
- Native English speaker (UK) or exceptional written English with experience writing for a UK audience (required).
- Previous experience writing about sports betting, online casinos, or the iGaming industry (required).
- Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals and content optimisation (required).
- Excellent research skills and attention to detail (required).
- Ability to simplify complex topics into engaging and reader-friendly content (required).
- Familiarity with UK bookmakers, casino operators, promotions, and gambling terminology (required).
- Experience using WordPress or other CMS platforms (required).
- Knowledge of SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Surfer SEO (nice-to-have).
- Comfortable working remotely within an international team (required).
- Must be based in the UK to access and test UK-licensed betting operators (required).

- Competitive pay of £50 to £80 per 1,000 words, depending on experience and quality.
