Machine Learning Engineer
Novibet is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join its team and specialise in extracting value from data by crafting, deploying, and maintaining tailored machine learning models. The role involves analysing data, selecting appropriate algorithms, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of deployed models through vigilant monitoring and maintenance.
The Machine Learning Engineer will work with technologies including Python, SQL, PySpark, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory. The position requires a data-scientific approach aimed at deriving value from data to support the company's proprietary platform.
- Conduct thorough data analysis and preprocessing techniques to prepare large-scale datasets, leveraging big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks.
- Evaluate and select appropriate machine learning algorithms and techniques based on project requirements and constraints.
- Design and build machine learning models for player behaviour prediction, personalised recommendations, and dynamic content generation.
- Develop scalable and efficient machine learning pipelines for processing large volumes of data.
- Work closely with software engineers, data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to integrate ML solutions into products and services.
- Deploy and monitor the models to ensure optimal performance, accuracy and seamless integration into production systems, maintaining their effectiveness over time.
- Implement best practices for deploying and monitoring ML models in production environments.
- Continuously iterate and improve machine learning models based on feedback and evolving business needs.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in the AI/ML field, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions.
- Bachelor and/or Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science or in a relevant field (Mathematics, Engineering etc.) (preferred)
- Minimum 4 years of work experience in a relevant role (required)
- Strong knowledge of Python, SQL and PySpark (required)
- Strong knowledge of machine learning libraries (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) (required)
- Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms for classification, clustering, and regression (required)
- Experience in GenAI (required)
- Experience in personalised customer suggestions (recommender systems) (required)
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and the ML lifecycle (required)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and MLOps (required)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), preferably Azure (required)
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills (required)
- Ability to collaborate on projects and work independently when necessary (required)
- Ability to translate complex business problems into scalable ML solutions (required)
- Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English (required)
- Experience with Databricks and MLFlow (nice-to-have)
- Experience with Deep Learning models and techniques (NNs) (nice-to-have)
- Experience with LLMs and NLP techniques (nice-to-have)
- Generative AI knowledge (nice-to-have)
