Game Designer / Mathematician
ARRISE is building the next generation of iGaming experiences and is looking for a Game Designer / Mathematician to help drive that vision. In this role, the individual will be responsible for designing, analysing, and refining the mathematical frameworks that power online slot games, ensuring they are engaging, fair, and commercially successful.
This role is within a newly established internal studio dedicated to creating high-quality games, with a strong focus on innovative themes and cutting-edge mechanics. It is a unique opportunity to shape fresh concepts from the ground up while collaborating with a passionate, multidisciplinary team.
- Define and deliver the overall game vision, including mechanics, mathematical models, player flow, and themes.
- Perform game balancing and payout analysis using simulations and real gameplay data to optimise player experience and performance.
- Apply probability and statistical analysis to validate outcomes and ensure fairness and integrity.
- Develop and test gameplay simulations to evaluate mechanics and player behaviour.
- Continuously improve and optimise existing games through new features, mechanics, and mathematical enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with developers, artists, animators, and analysts to bring concepts to life.
- Produce and maintain clear documentation for game models, calculations, and design specifications.
- 5+ years of experience in game design or a similar role (required).
- Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (required).
- Strong expertise in mathematical modelling, probability, and data analysis (required).
- Proficiency in programming or relevant technical tools (required).
- A self-motivated, collaborative mindset suited to a fast-paced environment (required).
