QA Engineer (Game Server)
ARRISE is looking for a QA Engineer to join the game server team. The role involves ensuring the quality of software releases through rigorous testing processes and collaboration with the development team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the full testing lifecycle, from requirement analysis and test planning to execution and defect reporting. This position requires a strong technical background in back-end testing and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues within the gaming environment.
- Go through the software requirements and get clarifications on one's doubts.
- Become familiar with the software under test and any other related software.
- Understand the master test plan and/or the project plan.
- Create or assist in creating your test plan.
- Generate test cases based on the requirements and other documents.
- Procure or create test data required for testing.
- Test software releases by executing assigned tests (manual and/or automated).
- Report test results.
- Update test cases based on the discovered defects.
- Support the team with testing tasks as required.
- Keep up-to-date on the overview of the development technology, the popular testing tools (e.g., automated testing tools and test management systems), and the overview of the business domain.
- Working as a Quality Assurance Engineer for 1+ years (Back-end) (required).
- Good experience in Manual Testing of Web applications (required).
- Advanced skills in requirements analysis (required).
- Knowledge and practical experience working with SQL (required).
- Knowledge and practical experience working with GIT, Kibana, and Jenkins will be a plus (nice-to-have).
- Deep understanding and experience in the software development life cycle (required).
- Excellent skills in reading and analyzing logs to identify the root cause of a defect (required).
- Ability to prioritize test cases based on risk analysis (required).
- Multitasking skills (required).
- Intermediate English level (required).
- Strong communication skills (required).
- Gaming application expertise will be a plus (nice-to-have).
- Integration testing using SOAP UI and Postman will be a plus (nice-to-have).
