Senior Data Scientist
Quantum is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the Business Analytics team in London. In this role, the individual will own the models that drive the company's forecasting and strategy, from the data infrastructure behind them to the experiments that prove them out. The position involves turning statistical and machine learning work into reporting that the business can act on.
The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming complex modelling into clear reporting that non-technical stakeholders can understand and use to make decisions. This role requires a professional who can bridge the gap between technical expertise and actionable business insights.
- Own the infrastructure and outcomes of our models, building algorithms and pipelines to merge, manage and interrogate data for tailored reporting.
- Design and run experiments to test hypotheses and sharpen how we forecast.
- Select, build and evaluate the most appropriate statistical and machine learning models for each problem.
- Turn model output into clear, decision-ready reporting that shows how customers and clients interact with our business.
- Raise the modelling bar across the analytics team, challenging and working alongside AI rather than deferring to it.
- Several years building and shipping statistical and machine learning models in production, ideally in a commercial or performance-driven setting (required).
- Fluent in Python and SQL (required).
- Comfortable owning model infrastructure end to end (required).
- Strong on experiment design and model selection (required).
- Able to translate complex modelling into clear reporting that non-technical stakeholders can act on (required).
- Ability to challenge AI rather than lean on it (required).
- Thrives when working as part of a team (required).
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment (required).
- Excellent written and verbal English skills (required).
