Senior Financial Auditor
The Senior Financial Auditor will play a key role in the internal audit department, focusing on ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial operations. This position involves evaluating internal controls, assessing risk, and providing actionable recommendations to improve operational efficiency. The role requires a professional who can lead audit engagements, mentor junior staff, and maintain high standards of financial integrity.
- Lead and perform audits of financial operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal and external regulations.
- Analyze financial records, invoices, contracts, and internal procedures to assess operational efficiency and risk exposure.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Investigate irregularities or potential fraud and recommend preventive measures.
- Prepare detailed and structured audit reports highlighting key findings, root causes of discrepancies, and practical recommendations.
- Coordinate audit activities with team members and relevant departments.
- Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions based on previous audit findings.
- Participate in the development of audit plans and methodologies.
- Support the training and mentoring of junior auditors.
- Carry out other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor that align with the job description and comply with the labor code.
- Higher education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- Minimum of 4–5 years of professional experience in auditing or financial control, including roles with increased responsibility (required).
- In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, internal control evaluation, and risk assessment practices (required).
- Proficiency in accounting principles and financial reporting (required).
- Strong experience in preparing and reviewing audit documentation and reports (required).
- Excellent command of MS Office and accounting software (e.g., ArmSoft) (required).
- Thorough understanding of tax and labor legislation (required).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (required).
- High level of responsibility, independence, and attention to detail (required).
- Effective leadership, interpersonal, and mentoring abilities (required).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills (required).
- Fluency in Armenian; good command of English and Russian (both written and verbal) (required).
