Legal Specialist – Middle
SOFTSWISS is hiring a Legal Specialist to join its Legal and Compliance Team. The company is seeking an inquisitive and detail-oriented specialist who can work independently, communicate clearly, and support the company in meeting legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements.
The Legal Specialist will support the Legal and Compliance Team in a wide range of legal and regulatory tasks, including legal research, contract and document management, licensing support, policy drafting, partner due diligence, regulatory audits, and communication with external advisors and authorities.
- Conduct in-depth research to interpret various laws, rules, and regulations.
- Assist internal teams and stakeholders in understanding specific legal provisions to effectively address business issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts while managing the entire lifecycle of corporate agreements and maintaining up-to-date legal documentation.
- Act as a point of contact and collaborate efficiently with external advisors, regulatory authorities, and local councils.
- Assist with regulatory compliance by compiling necessary document packages for new license applications and helping to maintain existing licenses.
- Draft internal policies, procedures, and guidelines to streamline legal workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct thorough Know Your Customer and Due Diligence checks on potential business partners to mitigate corporate risk.
- Participate actively in regulatory audits, collaborating closely with internal cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes.
- Provide flexible administrative and legal support on different tasks and ad-hoc projects as required.
- BSc/BA degree in Law (required)
- At least 3 years of experience working within a software development company (required)
- Strong preference for experience in the iGaming industry (preferred)
- Hands-on expertise in licensing and/or audit processes and contract negotiation (required)
- Excellent written and verbal command of English (required)
- Knowledge of Russian is a plus (nice-to-have)
- Ability to multi-task and support multiple individuals within a deadline-driven environment (required)
- Ability to notice details and patterns that might have an impact on the company’s liabilities (required)
