Network Engineer
Aristocrat is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Network Engineer to join the ITOps - Global Network Infrastructure team. This role is integral to the mission of Aristocrat, as the successful candidate will lead the development, implementation, and optimisation of the enterprise network infrastructure.
The Network Engineer will work with modern technology as part of a world-class team to ensure the reliability and security of global network systems.
- Architect, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable network solutions across LAN/WAN environments.
- Manage projects related to Palo Alto Networks firewalls, covering policy development, threat prevention, and VPN configuration.
- Manage and optimise Aruba wireless and switching infrastructure, including ClearPass and AirWave.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Implement and enforce network security guidelines and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and business applications.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation and support incident response efforts.
- Build and support dark fibre solutions for high-capacity network infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). (required)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering. (required)
- Skilled in working with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Aruba networking solutions. (required)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VLANs, and subnetting. (required)
- Experience working with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG). (required)
- Proven ability to build and implement secure network architectures. (required)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills. (required)
- Certifications such as PCNSE, CCNP, or equivalent. (preferred)
- Experience in network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible). (nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments. (nice-to-have)
