Systems Engineer
Aristocrat is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its outstanding team. This role is crucial for maintaining the stability, integrity, and smooth operation of Aristocrat's Information Systems that support core business functions. This opportunity is for a cloud operations expert passionate about flawless performance and with a strong record in optimizing systems.
The Systems Engineer will lead the build and implementation of scalable and reliable infrastructure and applications in alignment with business goals. They will assess systems and recommend improvements to improve efficiency, performance, and reliability. The role involves providing advanced administration and support for core infrastructure including Windows Server/Desktop, GCP/AWS/Azure, AD/Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, Okta, Mimecast, and VMware. Management of IAM solutions across cloud platforms is key to ensure secure and seamless access. The role will coordinate cloud infrastructure focusing on cost efficiency, performance, scalability, compliance, and security. Automation of deployments, routine tasks, and onboarding/offboarding processes will improve uptime and efficiency. Handling user provisioning, deprovisioning, access requests, and SSO/MFA configurations is also part of the responsibilities. Collaboration with IT leadership and engineering teams is expected to deliver timely support and document resolutions. Building detailed documentation, diagrams, and procedures for systems is required. Ensuring compliance with OHS regulations and proactively promoting OHS practices is essential. Engagement in all elements of the Aristocrat Due Diligence framework to achieve zero compliance breaches is also a requirement.
- Lead the build and implementation of scalable and reliable infrastructure and applications in alignment with business goals.
- Assess systems and recommend improvements to improve efficiency, performance, and reliability.
- Provide advanced administration and support for core infrastructure including Windows Server/Desktop, GCP/AWS/Azure, AD/Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, Okta, Mimecast, and VMware.
- Manage IAM solutions (Okta, Microsoft 365, Google) across cloud platforms to ensure secure and seamless access.
- Coordinate cloud infrastructure focusing on cost efficiency, performance, scalability, compliance, and security.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent IT tertiary qualification. (required)
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology/Network/System Administration. (required)
- Proven experience in large enterprise environments. (preferred)
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) with 3+ years of equivalent Systems Engineer experience. (required)
- CCNA and IT Security certifications such as Security+ and/or CISSP are a plus. (nice-to-have)
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft server and desktop operating systems. (required)
- Basic understanding of switches, routers, and firewalls. (required)
- Experience supporting a Training and/or R&D environment is preferred. (preferred)
- Customer-focused with outstanding verbal communication skills. (required)
