Junior Compliance Officer
The Junior Compliance Officer ensures the Adjarabet Armenian entity's compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and coordinates relations with regulatory authorities.
This role supports the company's day-to-day regulatory compliance processes, reviews activities and documents for compliance, and provides recommendations. The officer will conduct regulatory research, develop and update internal policies, and ensure alignment with group-wide compliance standards.
Responsibilities include providing compliance advice, delivering awareness sessions, conducting monitoring, and preparing reports for management. The role also involves participating in new product reviews, drafting and reviewing terms and conditions, and coordinating applications for licenses and permits.
Additionally, the Junior Compliance Officer will support the management of regulatory inquiries and inspections, coordinate the submission of reports to authorities, and review contracts from a regulatory compliance perspective. Other compliance-related duties as assigned by the AM Compliance Lead/CLRO will also be performed.
- Support the company’s day-to-day regulatory compliance processes.
- Coordinate with local consultants and advisors on compliance-related matters.
- Review the company’s activities, documents, and processes for compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and minimum standards, and provide recommendations, guidance, and internal memos.
- Conduct regulatory research.
- Develop, implement, and update internal policies and procedures.
- Ensure alignment with group-wide compliance policies and standards.
- Provide compliance advice and day-to-day guidance to employees across the business.
- Deliver periodic awareness sessions for staff.
- Conduct the compliance monitoring and draft assurance reports.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc compliance reports for management.
- Participate in the review and launch of new products from a compliance perspective.
- Draft and review terms and conditions, including amendments, and coordinate regulatory approvals where required.
- Coordinate applications for obtaining, renewing, and maintaining relevant certificates, licenses, and permits.
- Support the management of regulatory inquiries, requests, and inspections, both on-site and off-site, in cooperation with internal teams and local consultants.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of reports to regulatory authorities.
- Draft and review compliance-related correspondence, including responses related to customer complaints.
- Review contracts and agreements from a regulatory compliance perspective and draft relevant compliance clauses where necessary.
- Perform other compliance-related duties as assigned by the AM Compliance Lead/CLRO.
- Master’s degree in law (required).
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in compliance, legal, regulatory or similar roles (required).
- Strong analytical, research, organizational, and problem-solving skills (required).
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills (required).
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism, discretion, and integrity (required).
