Junior Legal Counsel - Commercial
The Junior Legal Counsel will be responsible for ensuring that Evolution operates according to the highest ethical, legal, and compliance standards. As part of the Legal Commercial team, the role provides legal support to commercial teams across various Evolution entities and forms part of the global legal team.
The position focuses on managing contractual reviews, negotiations, and the drafting of commercial agreements. The Junior Legal Counsel will work with standard contract templates and ensure that all agreements align with company policy and standards.
- Act as the principal contact for day-to-day contractual reviews, negotiations, and drafting of commercial agreements and documents.
- Use standard contract templates to prepare and agree to agreements such as service terms and conditions, subcontracts, consultancy and agency agreements, and reseller agreements.
- Check terms of standard agreements against company policy and standard forms.
- Manage amendments to and extensions of existing agreements.
- Manage renewal and extension dates and the related negotiation timetable.
- Present legal issues to management along with analysis, options, and recommendations.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.
- Possess a Doctor of Laws or a Legal Degree (required).
- Good knowledge of corporate and commercial law (required).
- Very good command of the English language (required).
- Ability to work independently and cooperate with different teams (required).
- Excellent analytical skills with the capacity of identifying all risks and proactively choosing the best solutions (required).
