Payroll Officer

Description

As a Payroll Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time, while keeping everything compliant and running smoothly behind the scenes. You will support end-to-end payroll operations across the business, working closely with Finance, People Operations and HRBPs to deliver a reliable and high-quality payroll service. This role sits at the heart of day-to-day operations, balancing accuracy, responsiveness and continuous improvement. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys detail-focused work, problem solving and being part of a collaborative, supportive team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage payroll and MyPay inboxes, responding to queries and escalating where needed.
  • Process payroll changes including new starters, terminations, leave and allowances.
  • Ensure accurate payroll records, trackers and supporting documentation are maintained.
  • Support superannuation processing, payroll tax and month-end reporting activities.
  • Prepare employment verifications, reports and payroll-related documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and drive efficiency.
Requirements
  • Experience in payroll administration or payroll processing (required).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure (required).
  • Good communication and organisational skills (required).
  • Knowledge of payroll systems and Microsoft Excel (required).
  • Understanding of Australian payroll and superannuation requirements (required).
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with stakeholders (required).
