Head of Technology - Generosity Value Stream
Sportsbet AU is looking for a Head of Technology to lead the delivery of business outcomes through technology, while owning and evolving critical platforms that support Sportsbet AU’s strategic priorities. As a senior technology leader, the Head of Technology will lead leaders across engineering, delivery, operations and design, driving high-performing teams that build, maintain and scale technology solutions for millions of customer interactions.
The Head of Technology will play a pivotal role in shaping technology strategy, influencing commercial outcomes, championing innovation, and embedding AI-driven capabilities across both software delivery practices and customer-facing platforms.
- Lead and develop high-performing technology teams, fostering an inclusive, engaged and outcome-focused culture.
- Drive the delivery of strategic technology initiatives, balancing platform health, operational excellence and business priorities.
- Partner with senior commercial stakeholders to align roadmaps, objectives and value delivery outcomes.
- Oversee platform performance, reliability, security and cost optimisation, ensuring services meet the demands of a 24/7 digital environment.
- Define and execute technology strategy, architecture and roadmap plans, including the adoption of AI-enabled capabilities and modern engineering practices.
- Significant experience leading large-scale technology platforms, digital products and engineering teams in fast-paced environments. (required)
- Proven success leading cross-functional teams of 30+ people through delivery, operational support and transformational change initiatives. (required)
- Deep knowledge of modern engineering and delivery practices, including Agile, DevOps and Lean methodologies. (required)
- Experience managing large-scale, always-on production platforms, with a focus on reliability, performance, security and optimisation. (required)
- Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including their application within software delivery practices and customer-facing products and platforms. (required)
