Payroll Analyst

Description

Trustly is looking for an experienced and dynamic Payroll Analyst to join its growing global payroll team on a permanent basis. In this role, the Payroll Analyst will be responsible for overseeing Brazilian payroll operations end-to-end and working closely with external payroll providers who prepare payrolls across Trustly's subsidiaries in Brazil and broader international markets.

The Payroll Analyst will partner with the People team and relevant internal stakeholders to ensure all payroll-related documentation and employee lifecycle data are accurate and up to date. The role involves coordinating and overseeing local Brazilian payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation, as well as proper management of tax filings and local labour compliance. The Payroll Analyst will also liaise with external payroll providers across international entities, ensuring payroll inputs are submitted accurately and on time, reviewing monthly output reports, and managing payment approvals.

Further responsibilities include overseeing statutory filings (eSocial, FGTS, INSS, IRRF), social security contributions, and year-end reporting requirements, ensuring strict compliance with local Brazilian labour laws, union agreements, and audit standards. The Payroll Analyst will direct payroll-related journal entries and ensure timely, accurate reconciliation of payroll accounts, funding, accruals, and general ledger balance sheets. The role also coordinates the payroll treatment of statutory employee benefits, 13th-month salary, vacation pay plus, meal/transport vouchers, and expense reimbursements in alignment with company policies. The Payroll Analyst will track key payroll operational metrics (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement in accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and operational efficiency across payroll workflows.
